I am writing to detail an appalling experience my family and I endured with your ground staff at Abu Dhabi Airport . The complete lack of empathy and basic customer care was shocking.
Firstly, despite being visibly pregnant, suffering from severe swelling, and having significant difficulty walking, I was denied priority check-in. When I requested assistance, the staff behaved unprofessionally and dismissively, insisting I stand in a long queue without any concern for my medical condition.
Secondly, due to weather, our flight to Kochi was diverted to Coimbatore for refuelling. During this delay, I asked a crew member for water, explaining that I was pregnant and extremely thirsty. The crew member disappeared for thirty minutes only to return and inform me that water was payable. I was prepared to pay, but the half-hour delay for a basic necessity was unacceptable and caused undue distress.
The treatment I received from your staff was utterly lacking in compassion and fell far below the standard of care expected, especially for a vulnerable passenger. I expect to be compensated for this deeply negative experience.
