My reservation was canceled without any notification—even though it was already paid for. Airbnb showed no concern or offered any solution to fix the situation. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and have even referred others to the platform. I never imagined I’d be treated so poorly.

Now, I’m left with no choice but to share my experience. If I had been the one to cancel, I would’ve been charged a 50% fee. Yet when Airbnb canceled on me, their response was essentially, “Too bad, deal with it.” I was told to wait 10 days for my $800 refund and then just book again—knowing full well that the next reservation could also be canceled without warning. Unbelievable and deeply disappointing!

I had a disappointing experience with Airbnb. While processing a booking for $1,960, the price suddenly jumped to $3,930. When I messaged the host (a message visible to Airbnb), their response was that the price fluctuates based on demand. However, this isn’t fair when I was already in the middle of completing my payment.

What’s even more frustrating is that you can only contact the host once. If you have a follow-up question or need to respond, you’re required to set up a payment method before doing so. The “reply” option gets replaced with “request to book,” and if the host accepts, the payment is automatically charged to your card.

When I was in Tunisia, I had to book an accommodation in Rabat so I could fly to Morocco and from there get back to the UK as I couldn't fly directly from Tunis Airport. Nouvelair stopped me from travelling and when I contacted airbnb to refund me the money, they refused. They should be called rip-off bnb instead.
