The place where I am is bit run down. They do clean the place regularly and sometimes try to add some rags and fix few things but the place smells bad because of one smoking housemate. But to be fair for a temporary accommodation, I and people shouldn't be complain.
Some of the houses are old but they do clean up every one of their houses once a week unlike other other most housing associations. They also offer studio flats which is convenient for those who prefer independent lifestyle.
Overall it's an established and good housing provider.
All members of Aspect Housing team are helpful and supportive. Weekly cleaning is always on time - most other housing association don't do that. Some houses need refurb but overall Aspect Housing is better than most of housing associations in Birmingham.
Unlike other HMO associations they provide weekly cleaning and they all also send a housing support officer ever week to check on tenants and their concerns.
Service charge is a bit high for people on universal credit and don't have other income.
There is a weekly cleaner that comes and cleans the place once a week which is a huge plus as most HMO tenants Don't care about the place where they live.
Power keep going off sometimes not sure what's the cause of that. Looks like a pay as you go contract.
I guess as HMO tenants you have to be understanding as this type of accommodation is temporary and not always ideal. Some were in prison, some were sleeping rough on the street and there are some normal and decent tenants, too.
Overall, the team at Aspect Housing are doing a good job.
It's nice of them to collect free food from Greg's and other supermarkets to distribute it to homeless people. Some food is actually fresh.
They provided me with a temporary accommodation on the same day and they were super helpful.
Sharaz and Mohannad were very helpful and patient. They made sure I'm the right place with the right flatmates
