Great speeds, but lacking in flexibility and support
I initially chose Brightspeed for its affordable pricing and impressive internet speeds, which delivered as promised (5/5 for performance). However, I quickly discovered significant limitations:
The Downsides:
No Ethernet Support: Despite weeks of research and unhelpful tech support (which required extra fees for assistance), I learned Brightspeed only provides WiFi connectivity—a dealbreaker for my wired devices.
Poor Customer Service: My cancellation experience was particularly frustrating. The representative’s heavy accent made communication nearly impossible, forcing me to repeatedly ask her to slow down. For a customer-facing role, clear English should be a basic requirement.
Final Verdict: If you only need fast WiFi and won’t require technical support, Brightspeed might work for you. But for reliable wired connections or competent customer service, look elsewhere. I switched back to a more established provider without regrets.
