Here’s the backstory: My regular GP is fully booked from 16-20/12/2024 before heading overseas for a three-week holiday, so I needed to arrange a Physio Care Plan elsewhere. I contacted this clinic and specifically inquired about getting a referral.

I was initially advised: *"Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You can access a physio care plan through our doctors, which is designed to manage chronic medical conditions effectively. To be eligible, the condition should typically be one that lasts six months or longer."*

I scheduled an appointment and completed the onboarding intake form, preparing for my telehealth consultation.

However, when I spoke to the nurse during the appointment and explained my situation, I was immediately rejected. I was told I needed my regular GP to complete the form and that the condition had to have been treated by my GP for six months or more.

Here’s the kicker: “The condition has had to have been treated by my GP for six months or longer.”

Naturally, I’m frustrated. They charged me the consult fee despite giving conflicting information—two different processes from two different staff members.

In my case, this clinic failed me big time.
