You need to be patient with this program. The first three months aren’t considered therapeutic doses, and during that time I only lost 12 lbs, even though my food intake dropped to about 1,400 calories a day. I lost 2 lbs in the first month, 4 lbs in the second, and 6 lbs by the end of the third. Being postmenopausal, I understand this pace is normal at my age.
What I don’t love is that the cost increases by $100 per month, especially when the results are minimal in the beginning. Part of me feels a bit taken advantage of for continuing, but I’ve decided to stick with it for at least two more months at the therapeutic doses.
I have two friends who did this before me, and they both saw much better results at the higher doses, hitting their goal weight within five months. Each lost over 40 lbs, averaging about 2 lbs per week, even though their progress was very slow in the first couple of months.
For me, managing constipation made a big difference and eliminated the nausea. I still feel a bit tired the day after taking the shot, but nothing overwhelming. I also take a super B complex, multivitamins, and extra electrolytes daily.
Even though weight loss has been gradual, three months on the shots have already improved my health. My A1C is no longer in the pre-diabetic range, I’ve dropped a clothing size, and people have noticed the change. I also know someone who used a GLP-1 compounded semaglutide and lost 54 lbs in six months, which motivates me to keep going.
Overall, I’m feeling optimistic about seeing more success moving forward.
