Extremely Frustrating Banking Experience – Poor Customer Service
Over the past year, my experience with this bank has been consistently disappointing, marked by repeated access issues to my own funds despite proactive communication.
August 2024: Before traveling to Southeast Asia, I specifically contacted Member Services to notify them of my travel plans and requested a note on my account to prevent disruptions. Despite this, my debit card and account were frozen without warning—no text, email, or call. I only discovered the block when my HOA payment was declined. Reinstating access through the Fraud Department was an unnecessary hassle.
May 2025: Before returning to Southeast Asia, I arranged a large withdrawal reservation—confirming the date, time, and branch in advance. Upon arrival, I waited over an hour, only to be told my reservation "could not be found" and the transaction was denied.
July 2025: After months of successfully using my debit card for transfers via Western Union and Remitly, my card was blocked again without notice, forcing me to reverify my identity for the third time.
Three major disruptions in less than a year—each leaving me without access to my money—have made banking with this institution more trouble than it’s worth. If you enjoy unexpected freezes, unhonored reservations, and constant verification loops, then this bank is for you.
I will be closing my account upon returning to the U.S. Avoid unless you want recurring headaches
