Overall, the tour was decent, with hotels and transportation meeting expectations. However, the itinerary was limited, covering only a few typical tourist spots and leaving excessive "free time" that felt unproductive. Much of this downtime was spent lingering at overpriced, low-quality roadside stalls near tourist areas. This time could have been better utilized—exploring nearby scenic spots or visiting local markets, for example.
One particularly unnecessary stop was a remote shop selling raw food items. Additionally, with lunch excluded on three out of six days, Startours could have arranged visits to local markets instead of leaving guests at expensive tourist spots with limited dining options.
The tour manager could have enhanced the experience by sharing more insights about the places and culture, rather than just sticking to the schedule. The local guides, while knowledgeable, struggled with English and failed to engage the group effectively.
With better planning, clearer communication, and more thoughtful scheduling, the trip could have been far more rewarding
