I had an appointment with Dr. Ubogu regarding my sleep apnea, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. He claimed that the only treatment available was a CPAP machine, which is inaccurate. He also stated that sleep apnea is merely uncomfortable and wouldn’t cause harm—a statement that contradicts widely known medical advice. To make matters worse, he suggested prescribing sleeping tablets, which are not recommended for people with sleep apnea.

Dr. Ubogu then directed me to go private, providing a printout with details of a clinic. However, when I contacted the clinic, they informed me they do not deal with sleep apnea cases. Shortly after leaving the surgery, I started receiving multiple texts and calls from the doctor. When I finally called back, the secretary informed me that Dr. Ubogu had requested I return for a blood pressure test.

I’ve since sought legal advice, as I’m fortunate that my nephew is a barrister, and I’ve also lodged a formal complaint with the surgery. In my opinion, this doctor’s advice was not only negligent but potentially dangerous for patients relying on accurate and safe medical guidance.
