I had a telephone consultation with the doctor, who asked me to attend the practice for an examination. I was then referred for an MRI and an X-ray. The doctor also recommended an exercise routine to do morning and night. He explained that, as the hernia wasn’t causing pain, it would be documented in my notes, and I should contact the practice if I experience pain or other symptoms.
This morning, he called with the X-ray results, checked on my pain levels, and reassured me that trauma after a fall usually settles within about six weeks. He advised me to contact the surgery to see him if the pain persists beyond that.
